Downtown Detroit

Courtney + Tyler’s engagement session in downtown Detroit was the kind that makes you forget the cold—almost. We started at the iconic Michigan Central Station, where the massive architecture and empty space gave everything a dramatic, cinematic feel. Snow was falling, breath was visible, and every laugh felt earned. It was pure Detroit energy: bold, beautiful, and a little gritty in the best way.

From there, we headed into the heart of the city at Campus Martius, where lights, movement, and winter magic brought a totally different vibe. Even with freezing temps, Courtney + Tyler never stopped smiling or moving. They were playful, relaxed, and completely in sync—which is exactly what you want during an engagement session. Downtown Detroit in the winter isn’t for the faint of heart, but when the couple brings this much warmth, the photos do too.
